Pisces, it’s the month
before your birthday and as every year, it’s a time of ending a cycle before a
new one begins. For a number of years now, you have felt a little restless and
unsure of which way to turn and this month, especially after the 10th,
you may feel a little withdrawn to reflect upon the past 12 months. Use this
time to decide what no longer serves you but be patient with yourself and try
and get your thoughts in order before making rash decisions. Mercury goes
retrograde in your house of behind the scenes activities on 24th
February so thinking and communicating clearly may not be your strong point
right now. As the month goes on, more and more planets will be gathering in
your solar 12th house, preparing you for what lies ahead. This time
is best explained with the word preparation
– it’s the time of the year when we can review project, plans or ideas and
either make final adjustments or of necessary, start again. As a Pisces, your
intuition is usually quite spot on anyway but this month, it’s turned up a
notch so watch out for what your dreams tell you and any sudden insights.
As Mercury goes
retrograde towards the end of the month, it’s also important to make sure
contracts, especially those related to business partnerships and property deals,
in your case, are signed before then or if that’s not possible, make sure you
read and re-read the small print. As Mercury rules your house of committed
relationships, this may also be a time when you review your closest links and renegotiate the conditions and perhaps
unnecessary limitations in the partnership. With Saturn in the house of your
joint resources, negotiations may also evolve around finances. Be prepared for
some small delays in this area – who knows, you might be glad you took your
time in the end.
In February, we are
also gearing up to a configuration called The
Yod or The Finger of God which
will be exact in March 2013 but can already be felt this month. This happens
when two planets, Pluto and Saturn, are in a sextile – so they are in harmony
and the focal planet, Jupiter, in quincunx. This means that the other two
planets in the Yod are completely incompatible, sharing neither gender
(masculine/assertive or feminine/receptive), element (fire, water, air, or
earth), or modality (cardinal, fixed, or mutable). The Yod shines its light
across your solar 3rd, 8th and 10th houses,
activating either a powerful conduit of energy, or a deeply-felt block, in the
direction of the quincunxed planet – which is Jupiter in your house of
communication, ideas, neighbours, short distance or every day travels, and
siblings. Jupiter is pulling in an opposite direction from Pluto and Saturn
which can cause you to let go of certain interests and habits in order to
become involved in what is showing on the horizon. If you have been working on an
idea for a work project or going after a promotion or new job, if you have been
liaising with the bank for a loan or working on a property deal, it may be that
there are certain people who are in a position of authority or able to make
decisions on your financial future and who may be opposing your plans – at
least initially. The Yod is said to have the potential to trigger major events
in someone’s life and if you are facing challenges in these areas, the best way
to achieve a positive result is through adaptation and at least considering new
paths. Your intuition and creativity will help you hugely with this in February
– as well as going through this cycle of letting go of some elements in life
which I mentioned before. It takes great initiative and fortitude to overcome the
limitations created by the Yod, but great rewards can result if done. When
looking at your chart, I get the strong impression that the results are
connected to your financial situation as well as your vocation and overall life
direction. I have mentioned this in previous months but who you are as a person
and how others view you is changing and transforming – this upcoming cycle
reinforces that.
The new Moon on 10th
February falls in the nakshatra (one of the 27 or 28 lunar mansions in the
Indian horoscope) of Uttara Ashadha which translates as ‘later victory’ and is
ruled by the Sun. The main motivation with a new Moon in this nakshatra is
spiritual liberation. But Uttara Ashadha is also competitive and pushes us to
attain great achievements. This new Moon is also in a square to the North node
which tends to make us emotionally a little unbalanced with some petty problems
cropping up. For you Pisces, this happens in your 11th house of
friends, hopes and wishes and financial gains. There may be a partner or friend
that places some demand on your resources whether financially or emotionally.
With Saturn in the mix
too and in retrograde motion from 18th February until 8th
July 2013, it is a time where Pisceans should be a little careful and choosy with
the time and resources you dedicate to other people. During a Saturn retrograde
phase, we are reviewing fairness, balance and justice in relationships in the
area ruled by Libra in our charts. Your joint finances and resources, loans,
tax, inheritance or intimacy issues need to be worked through and chewed over
again to achieve a resolution. This already began towards the end of 2011 and
has become a focus area once again since early / mid-August 2012.
In terms of romance, your communication skills and willingness is at an all-time high as the planet of expansion, Jupiter transits your solar 3rd house. It’s also the house of gadgets so perhaps you should give in to your New Year’s resolution and try out online dating. However, remember to keep it light and easy in February as there is too much room for miscommunication. Once Mercury goes direct on 18th March, your communication skills and your intuitive antenna are back up and running again.
A lot is in a state of flux this month Pisces, so try and meditate more, make sure you get enough rest and stay off the drink this month. Your mantra for February 2013 should be ‘your body is your temple’. If you find it difficult to change your health and work routines and slow down for a little while, you may get the bill around the time of the full Moon on 25th February which brings issues in your day-to-day activities to the fore.
