Leo, this is a year when you really have to decide what’s important to you. Over the past couple of years at least, the planets have not necessarily obstructed your plans, views and ideas although relationships have could have been slightly disillusioning for you. It’s been a process where you had to learn to be less idealistic and more realistic – although you might not have arrived at that point yet. Either that or you had to support your partner (or generally someone you are close to in your life) in more than one way. Leos are generally speaking strong personalities so those who need some advice and protection could have come flocking to you more than you’ve been used to. Over the next year and especially from later on in 2014, the ball is – kind of – back in your court and you will need to focus on what is healthy for you, what feels ok and what you need to let go of, in particular in connection to relationships, intimacy, your inner most feelings and the deeper levels of your psyche. Like a snake (pardon the comparison), you’ll be shedding some of that dry skin, metaphorically speaking, on an emotional level. At the same time, the North node in your house of income, possessions and values will initially cause a bit of havoc – especially around the eclipse times in the autumn 2014 and March & April 2015. You’ll win some, you’ll lose some will be the motto and for some quite suddenly and quickly as Uranus, the plane of sudden change remains in the house of, well, sudden change.
What all of this means initially, is some frustration, delay
and a feeling of being stuck in some way, a feeling of uncertainty, a perceived
lack of physical or emotional security and a certain lack of belonging –
related to your emotional life as well as your actual living environment. For
the time being, you may close yourself off a little from the outside world to
figure out what the new foundation of your life will look like in the coming months
or years. But with Saturn involved, this won’t happen overnight – the key just
is not to become too defensive, no one is actually after you, you’re just
sorting out your emotions and getting those back in order, in particular with
the Moon in Leo. Many Leos will be moving home, are thinking about doing so or
are having to sell over this period of time where you are set to leave a
certain part of your life or your past behind for good. It’s a time of
unearthing certain fears, feelings and memories that you perhaps didn’t want to
think about before. Remember that in three years’ time, despite Saturn’s
one-step-forward, two-steps-back movements and the frequent freeze-up that
stalls some of your progress, you will emerge as a new person, liberated from
unnecessary and unhealthy feelings and responsibilities – quite possible within
relationships.
Over the coming twelve months, Leos will strengthen their work ethic and
turning into the practical thinker that gives the right advice at the right
time. At the same time, this turns you into a responsible leader who prefers
and instills law and order at work. Just like your emotional and your home
life, you’ll be climbing the career ladder slowly but surely over the coming
months and some of you, at the end of this long transit, may even emerge with
completely new role or the strong desire to change career. Some Leo’s may face
a few obstacles at work over the next two or so years – to see if you’re ready
for the big job!
Throughout all this, you’ll still have the feeling of being protected. You’ll
have that underlying sense that someone is looking after you. It could also be
that you’ll suddenly become quite creative as a way of escaping your daily
routine for a few hours each month or you may be travelling more than usual. Whatever
it may be, you’ll go to places you’ve not seen before either physically
or metaphorically. This helps you gather your strengths, ready for the big
launch in a year’s time when Jupiter, the planet of expansion, enters your
sign. By then, you will have done enough soul-searching and skin-shedding that
you’ll be ready to face the world head on again. Great for a brand new start, relationships,
