November 2012 horoscope - Aquarius

I follow the sidereal calendar; this is the monthly solar horoscope for birthdays from 13th February to 14th March

The most important event in November is the solar eclipse on 13th November at about 10pm GMT just at the end of Libra conjuncting the North node in Scorpio. This is a hugely exciting month, sparking a lot of changes in all our lives.

For Aquarians, the eclipse happens in the 9th house of global travel, higher learning, knowledge, teaching, mentoring, the law, religion, spirituality and beliefs. I would not say this about every eclipse for every sign but it might actually be a really exciting time when Aquarians can spread their wings, expand their horizons, go on a trip or learn something new that will benefit them for many years to come and might even completely change their outlook. New moons are new beginnings – sometimes the ones we can’t see immediately – but tied into the eclipse, it’s a time of powerful change, transformation and a turning point for many Aquarians. This may be a time to restructure your beliefs and change your thinking patterns so that you are able to manifest what you want in your life. With Saturn now moving towards the top of your chart in the 9th house, which always increases responsibility, it might also be a time when many Aquarians are looked upon as a figure of authority, a mentor, teacher or spiritual leader.

Looking at Vedic astrology, this solar eclipse is in the nakshatra of Vishakha, ruled by Jupiter. Jupiter gives strength, faith and optimism while Vishakha Moons are said to reap the fruits of their labour only after some time and some effort. With Saturn in the same sign as the eclipse, some delays may well occur and some effort and discipline may well be required to realise your goals.

Mercury goes retrograde on 7th November in the solar 10th house of global travel and higher learning. Mercury retrograde causes delays but it’s also a time to rethink, redo, remake, rebuilt and reassess. This particular retrograde period could entail a reversal public position but not necessarily for the worse. A long awaited recognition for a job well done may be on the cards. Nevertheless, there may also be some miscommunications or delays in the work place. In a square to Neptune in the first house, make sure you have your facts right when you need to get your point across and argue in a logical manner.

Mercury moves over the eclipse point on 18th and 19th November back into Libra, so your mind might then be firmly focused on the issues, news, opportunities and emerging circumstances which came to light around the time of the eclipse. Once Mercury goes direct on 27th November and things in all these areas become much clearer again and thing can start moving forward from them on. Also watch out for further clues and progress in these matters when the North node passes the eclipse point on 15th January and for the lunar eclipse in May 2013.

Jupiter, the natural ruler of the 9th house and the ruler of the Aquarius solar 11th house of the global marketplace, is still transiting the 4th house of home and emotions. It almost seems as though Aquarians are not only expanding their horizons in a metaphorical sense but perhaps a change in their home environment is also on the cards. Aquarians might even step into a more global role, perhaps as a teacher or to expand their knowledge that brings a move and a change of scenery with it. The full moon across the 4th and 10th house axis of home and job on 28th/29th November will bring things connected to these areas out in the open or to a close.

Have a great month Aquarius.
