November 2012 horoscope - Pisces

I follow the sidereal calendar; this is the monthly solar horoscope for birthdays from 15th March to 13th April

November 2012 is solar eclipse month and this time it happens on 13th November at about 10pm GMT just at the end of Libra conjuncting the North node in Scorpio. This is a hugely exciting month, sparking a lot of changes in all our lives.

New moons are new beginnings – sometimes the ones we can’t see immediately – but tied into the eclipse, it’s might be time of powerful change, transformation and a turning point for many Pisceans. In the 8th house of endings and beginnings, it relates to joint finances, the resources of others, intimacy, death and rebirth of some kind, psychology and surgery.

For Pisceans, this is a time to be more aware of your needs in terms of long-term financial planning, especially as Saturn has just entered your house of joint finances too. Saturn will keep the pressure on this house until early November 2014.  The next two or so years are not such good time for large investments, forcing you to think more about how you share your resources with others – buying, selling, reselling, your partner’s finances will require some restructuring. During November, an outdated attitude to money might end, your partner’s finances receive a shake-up or an existing source of income might not be so readily available to you anymore. It might mean that you have to let go of a financial or even emotional opportunity. Watch out for further clues and progress in these matters when the North node passes the eclipse point on 15th January and for the lunar eclipse in May 2013.

Looking at Vedic astrology, this eclipse is in the nakshatra of Vishakha, ruled by Jupiter. Jupiter gives strength, faith and optimism while Vishakha moons are said to reap the fruits of their labour only after some time and some effort. With Saturn in the same sign as the eclipse, some delays may well occur and some effort and discipline may well be required. With a square to Neptune, Pisceans also need to be careful to keep their feet on the ground.

Mercury then goes retrograde on 7th November in the 9th house of global travel and higher learning. Make sure those dissertations are packed up electronically and those parcels for your aunt in New Zealand are franked correctly to limit the potential for things to go wrong. Mercury retrograde causes delays but it’s also a time to rethink, redo, remake, rebuilt and reassess. So, if you are indeed studying at the moment, it’s a good time to take another look at your work. This could also have to do with your beliefs – maybe it’s time to reassess those too.
Mercury moves over the eclipse point on 18th and 19th November, so your mind might then be firmly focused on the issues, news and emerging circumstances which came to light around the eclipse. Once Mercury goes direct on 27th November and with the full Moon a couple of days later things in all these areas become much clearer again and things can start moving forward from them on.

Meanwhile, Mars joins Pluto in the 10th house from the 11th November, giving Pisceans a lot of natural authority and the power to transform your professional world. It can help you put your best foot forward in this area but be careful of potential power struggles and if you feel things are about to bubble over, take a step back.

Have a great month Pisces!
