April 2014 horoscope - Scorpio

I follow the sidereal/Vedic calendar; this is the April 2014 horoscope for birthdays from 16^th November to 15^th December or Scorpio Ascendants and Moons

Scorpio, for the time being, you feel most natural and comfortable in your own imagination, abroad, sitting on a beach and among people from a variety of cultural backgrounds. You feel most at home in a place other than your usual surroundings as you are very much pre-occupied with your own thoughts and feelings at the moment. Not that you’re not usually so but you’re quite private at the moment and any decisions you’re making and relationships you conduct are likely to be happening in a very private space.

While a lot is going on in your inner world, around your intuitive nature and your thoughts, a lot of what you’re thinking of also revolves around money, your own and that of other people. At least for the first half of the month, your sense of security depends on that. Some Scorpios may also – temporarily – worry about money connected to the home, perhaps if you’ve been applying for a mortgage and you are nervously waiting to get it approved.

In any case, this month’s planetary movements want you to pick up on what began or progressed in July 2013. Any activities, situations or circumstances are moving into their final stages with the lunar and the solar eclipses taking place this month. Eclipses are tied to changing circumstances which over the past 18 months, and most likely more, have become necessary for your growth. The first eclipse on 15^th April 2014 is a lunar eclipse in the area of your chart to with what I mentioned at the beginning – faraway and foreign places, people and situations. For you, this is also connected to teaching, education, mentoring, travelling and your career and overall life direction. Perhaps issues around that or sudden changes have caused some stress over the past year or more and you have been wanting to move on – even abroad. Now, there is an opportunity to make that change. Generally speaking, lunar eclipses are relationship-oriented and a time when we suddenly realise a great need or want. The impact can bring certain relationships to an end but it can also have the opposite effect. Some couples realise they can’t live without each other. Eclipses usually entail a change in status, so a break in the path, a milestone and a tipping point. This is the last one in the series of eclipses across the Libra and Aries axis so some of the same issues of the past year may crop up again, especially those that have continued to fester underneath the surface. Think about what happened around October 2012 and then again around mid-July 2013. The solar eclipse on 28^th April 2014 is then a new beginning, a new cycle and a break from the old path. While you may not know exactly what the new path looks and feels like - the Sun that gives light and insight, the Moon blocks the light of the Sun temporarily – but a new spiral of personal development is set into motion. In my opinion, a lot of what you can grab hold of now has to do with work, health and daily routines. Connected to your career and your work, it looks like it’s a good time to put some new rules in place! Equally, don’t forget to de-stress and take it easy over this time. 

 

April is an intense month not only due to the eclipses but also due to the squares and oppositions between Uranus, Pluto, Mars and Jupiter – all your money houses are activated by the squares and have been for a number of month. There simply still are challenges to overcome in these areas BUT squares and oppositions also bring with them the most life changing events and potentially rewarding opportunities. In terms of your finances, you may be next in line a few months from now. So, again, a lot is shifting for you, progressing and coming to the surface. While something has to give, something else will come into your life instead, especially to do with your income, inheritance, tax, insurance, profits and bonuses.

 

You then end the month with Venus in Pisces and in a very romantic and creative position in your chart. This puts you in an easy-going and even flirty mood and what better way to end a tense month of eclipses and Grand Crosses! Have a great month, Scorpio!
